1. Using this website

These terms apply to pokemonmonomyth.net (the "site"), operated by the Monomyth Guide website operator ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the site. If you cannot enter into a binding agreement under the law where you live, use the site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms.

The site provides independent Pokémon Monomyth starter guides, a local starter comparison tool, and setup information. Reading the guides and using the comparison tool are free and do not require an account. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.

2. Independent, unofficial resource

We do not develop or publish Pokémon Monomyth. This site is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Team Monomyth, Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures Inc., or The Pokémon Company. Pokémon names, characters, artwork, sprites, game titles, and trademarks belong to their respective rights holders. Their appearance here identifies the subjects discussed and does not imply official approval.

For the project's own announcements, patches, instructions, and support, consult the official Pokémon Monomyth website. Our guides do not replace the project's documentation.

3. ROMs, patches, and your files

We do not host or distribute Pokémon Emerald ROMs, pre-patched ROMs, or unauthorized copies of commercial games. The site does not upload, patch, inspect, or store your ROMs or save files. Setup links direct you to external project resources; they do not grant you a license to any game.

You are responsible for checking whether obtaining, copying, modifying, or using a game, patch, or emulator is permitted where you live and under its applicable terms. Owning a game does not automatically authorize every copy or modification. Our setup information is general technical guidance, not legal advice. Keep backups before modifying files, and verify the source and version of external downloads. Do not email us ROMs or other copyrighted game files.

4. Guides, comparisons, and accuracy

Game updates can change availability, moves, abilities, balance, and patch compatibility. Recommendations depend on the version, sources, and assumptions stated on the relevant page. The comparison tool applies predefined rules to published starter data; it is not a battle simulator or a guarantee that a starter is best for every playthrough.

Our current starter recommendations are editorial interpretations of third-party v1.0 records, not completed in-game comparison tests or verified first-boss rankings. We distinguish official information, third-party data, editorial advice, and testing where relevant. Errors and omissions can still occur. Check the project's current documentation before relying on version-specific guidance. Our sources and methodology explain the evidence behind the guide.

5. Permitted use and intellectual property

You may read the guides, use the comparison tool for personal purposes, and share links to our pages. We retain rights in our original writing, code, and site design, subject to separately stated licenses and third-party rights. These terms do not give you ownership of Pokémon or other third-party material. Exceptions and permissions provided by applicable copyright law remain available to you.

Do not:

• Disrupt the site, overload its infrastructure, or bypass access or security controls.
• Introduce malicious code, access data without authorization, or impersonate the site or a rights holder.
• Republish our guides wholesale or misrepresent our content as your own without permission.
• Use the site to distribute unauthorized game files or otherwise violate applicable law.

We may restrict abusive access to protect the site and its visitors. If you believe content infringes your rights, email the page URL, identify the work and your authority to act, and explain the concern so we can review it.

6. External websites and resources

Links may lead to project websites, data references, communities, or download services operated by others. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you use them. We do not control their availability, content, file safety, or data practices. A link does not transfer responsibility for those services to us or imply permission from a rights holder.

7. Availability and limits of responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of uninterrupted access, complete accuracy, compatibility, or suitability for a particular purpose. We may correct, change, remove, or suspend content or tools as needed.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site, including lost game progress, corrupted files, or reliance on outdated guidance. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits your mandatory consumer rights or access to legal remedies.

8. Changes and contact

We will publish revisions here and update the date above. Material changes will be identified on this page and, where required, through an additional notice or request for agreement. Revisions do not remove rights you already have under applicable law.
